November 2012

During the past few months the Village Hall has undergone a major refurbishment and up-grade and has been funded by grants from Tewkesbury Borough Council, Gloucestershire Environment Trust, Gotherington Parish Council and from the Village Hall Management Committee.

The improvements that have been made include greater energy efficiency, improved facilities for disabled users and a  overall to the toilet and washroom areas.

The Village Hall Manaagement Committee have decided to permanently display large box canvasses which are printed with views of Gotherington, Woolstone or Oxenton.

We are appealing to all members of the community to search through your archives and send us any images, either colour or black and white, you would like to see displayed in this way and send them either digitally to Christine at  or in print form to 68 Malleson Road. For more information call Christine 672821

The committee will then choose approximately 12 and have them professionally made

The closing date for the applications is 28th April 2013.

The Village Hall will be closed during the month of August as we are having a completely new kitchen

September 2013

The Village hall has re-opened on time and the kitchen refit is complete.

A very large number of photographs were submitted in response to our requests for scenes in and around Gotherington, eventually selecting some 15/16 photographs representative of the village’s many facets. These were then professionally transferred onto larger scale canvases, the majority of which have now been hung in the Hall.
